Tell me about the LA Banks books! I've been so curious her but haven't had time to read her. Did you read DARK THIRST? How about A RUSH OF WINGS by Adrian Phoenix? Both books are awesome.

I am not sure if I'm going to RT! I'd like to, but I am afraid I won't know anyone so I'm a bit nervous to go.

Have you read any of Christine Feehan's series? Also what are Jeaniene Frost's books about? I have heard if her but haven't read anything by her yet. J

Hi again Tara & Janon, L.A. Banks, a vampire huntress, a Neteru, & an ex-lover, got the picture? There is much electricity between those 2 that U just want things 2 happen. I have only read the 1st. 2, looking 4ward 2 the rest inbtween the rest. I have enjoyed them. I bought "Dark Thirst" & have started reading it. I'm drawn 2 "A Rush Of Wings," but have not obtained it by purchase or library. Tara, I also will not know anyone @ RT, but this is such an adventure 4 me and I have also signed up 4 a roommate I don't know. I would not mind if U wanted 2 go & ask 2 rm w me, Debbie (Deborah Murphy fr. DE). This is my 1st. x doing this, so talking about winging it! Pls reconsider & look me up. Janon, thank you 4 Ur opinion on Harris's books. I will look 4ward 2 reading them in the near future. It has been suggested 2 me to read Feehan's bks. and I have not read as yet Frost. I wish I was a speed reader, but no chance. D. Murphy A.K.A. Lady D. "the Vamp"

Hi Guys, I love paranormal romance. I like all the authors mentioned. Love LA Banks but she is a little out there for some people. Has anyone tried Nalini Singh? No vampires, but a great Psy/Changling series.
March 5, 2008 | Unregistered Commentercheri
Hi Cheri - I haven't read anything yet by Nalini Singh. Does she have a series? What other Paranormal authors do you read? Have you read Charlaine Harris, Sookie Stackhouse books? That is a great series. I hear that HBO or Showtime is going to have a series show on cable about the Charlaine Harris books. They have vamps, werewolves and other fun stuff. J

Nalini Singh does have a series out. The first is Slave to Sensation, there are 4 books and one story in an anthology. It is my favorite series right now.
I like JR Ward,Lora Leigh,Patricia Briggs,Eileen Wilks, Susan Sizemore, Kresley Cole, Feehan, Sookie...

J, U r welcome. Lady D.

Hi again Cheri - I have read all of the authors that you listed above except for Singh and Susan Sizemore. How are Sizemore's books and what are they about? Are they pretty good? J
March 8, 2008 | Registered CommenterJanon
I like Sizemore's They are about vampires. Each one is about a different couple but they are all connected.
Do you buy most of your books or go to the library? I buy mine, but I get alot at thrift stores and I'm lucky enough to work in a used/new bookstore. I couldn't get half as many if I bought them all new.

Hi Cheri, hear U about buying books. To exagadurate Loyeds of London would have a field day w my collection. The library where I work takes in donated bks, hard bound as well as paperback. To b honest not much Paranormal Romance comes through ,but other romance do, so there is another out let for gentle used books. Buy the way was out looking 4 my dress 4 the Vampire Ball @ RT and I found none, so I am still on my quest. Lady D.

Lady D & Cheri - I also buy all of my books. I do have a large "keeper" shelf that I keep most of my series books and my favorite author romances. I do donate the books that I don't want to keep to my library. But my local branch is weird sometimes where they do not always except books (they say that they do not have enough room). So when I do donate any books, I usually try and bring in just hardbacks to them, and I also bring it to their attention that it is a new release. When a new author that I want to read comes out with a book, I will check my library first, but 9 out of 10 times they do not have it. Most of my books are purchased on Amazon because they are fast, and if you spend $25 shipping is free. Also D, you are going to have to write to us about the RT ball after you go, and I wish I worked in a library or book store. My dream job. J

Janon, the donated bks r an out reach that my library participates in, but @ this time my dear friend who heads this out reach is out on medical leave so we have had 2 place a hold on any more donations. Some libraries do not know the importance of this so they will be weird about the process. We r a unique group of people, the paranormal romance readers. We should b proud as a group. Ur library is looking 4 bks to add
2 their collection, where we add, but then sell those we do not want or already have. I understand about space. Even though my lbrary is 4 yrs. new there was not room made 4 expanstion so we r weeding on a regular basics. I will let U know how the convention went upon my return. I'm rooming w a bk seller, so go figure! Lady D. B well 2 all

Hello all, this is not a Paranormal Romance, but I was not sure where 2 post this. Shana Abe is wonderful. Check her out. Read the first 2 "Dream Theif, Smoke Theif." Hot,Hot,Hot! B well, may U all find a hot Paranormal Romance, to read of course, but then I wouldn't mind my neck being nibbled on!! Lady D.

I've heard great things about this series, but haven't read them myself. Is it more fantasy?
March 11, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterTara Green
Tara - I would say that Shana Abe's Drakon series is paranormal. This series is about shapeshifters that turn into Dragons. The word I use to describe her writing is beautiful. I just finished the Dream Theif last month and I have the 3rd book in the series (Queen of Dragons) left to read. They can be stand alone books, but I would read them in order. (Shana Abe lives in Colorado). J
