Paranormal Romance Discussion > Dark Thirst
I started reading Dark Thirst on Sunday afternoon and I am almost finished it. It is such a shame I have to go to work as I won't get to finish until tonight.

I received my book in the mail yesterday and have started it. So far, I'm really intrigued. I'll post more tomorrow or Tuesday and we can really get the discussion going! So far, so good!!

I can't wait to get home and finish the book. There is certainly a unique twist to Brandon's character and I can only see it being further developed.

I'm about a quarter into the book. The scene with his hands in the beginning...all I can say is OUCH! I'm intrigued by the hero being mute and deaf. He doesn't seem to be the typical alpha male...at least, not yet.

It was one of the things that I thought as well, he is definitely not an alpha male in the beginning. I really had a sense this was a developing series and more growth will happen in future stories (Well I hope there are future stories)

Finished the book yesterday. LOVED IT!!!! Does anyone know the exact date in Sept. '08 when the second book Dark Hungar comes out?
Books with cliff-hangers drive me nuts sometimes. M-u-s-t find out what happens to Brandon and Lina N-o-w!!!. ;-)

I agree, I would love to have the book now. I normally leave a series until all of the books are out and I can read them one after the other. However, there are some that I just have to read as soon as I get it and I think this will be one of those series.

I was very impressed with this hero especially as he was mute and deaf and how he managed to survive his family situation. Of course people like Brandon will always come through as they have the strong will and once they find their other half it makes it easier.

Personally I felt frustrated by his handicap, as I'm sure we were supposed to. Not being able to communicate (his family forcing him to write on a note pad, vs. signing) was almost unbearable to read about. It was definitely a twist on the hero archeatype!
