Does the story of Victoria (Mrs Rowland) and Langford, Duke of Perrin add or detract from the story?

Heather - I think their story added to the book for me. I would of liked a little more actually from them. I thought they were adorable, and very entertaining.

For me it was a good side romantic story in the book. The relationship between Mrs Rowland and Langford gave insight into some of Gigi's upbringing in a nonchalant kind of way, so for me it fit right into the book seamlessly.
As I am reading a book every character has a story and I often get frustrated that I don't get their story as well particularly with a interesting character like Mrs. Rowland.
